Oi, Me…

I’m a Texan geek, developer, actor, and blogger.  I started programming with GWBASIC when I was seven or eight and have since learned C, C++, Java, VB.net, Python, HTML/XML, CSS, and PHP.  I’m an Eagle Scout who loves to hike and climb, and I’m an avid reader of the epic fantasy genre (read: Steven Erikson).  I’m a trained singer, too, but you’d have to catch me in my car with the windows down if you want to hear it…

For the last four years, I’ve been in Los Angeles studying and pursuing acting.  While there, I gained membership in SAG, AFTRA, and AEA (the screen, television, and stage acting unions), started this wonderful blog, Idyll Ramblings, began developing apps for Android on Google Play, discovered Linux and the wonders of kernel hacking, and met a great many influential people who have helped me immeasurably.

As of April, 2012, though, I’m back in Austin to complete my degree at the University of Texas.  I’m doing my best to keep this blog rising through the blogosphere while I tackle my courses and continue developing Android applications and Linux kernel modifications.  My posts here are a combination of inspirational content, analysis of current events, and articles on the workings of the work I do.
